US Names 23 man roster for Cuba Game

U.S. men's national team head coach Bob Bradley has named a roster of 23 players that will train in advance of the FIFA World Cup Qualifying game against Cuba on Oct. 11 in Washington, D.C. (7 p.m. ET, ESPN Classic).

The U.S. leads Group 1 with nine points from three matches and can clinch a place in the final round of CONCACAF qualifying with a victory against Cuba at RFK Stadium. The team will gather on Oct. 5 in Washington, D.C., to prepare for the match.

U.S. roster

GOALKEEPERS (3): Brad Guzan (Aston Villa, Tim Howard (Everton FC), Troy Perkins (Valerenga IF).

DEFENDERS (8): Carlos Bocanegra (Rennes), Danny Califf (FC Midtjylland), Steve Cherundolo (Hannover 96), Jay DeMerit (Watford FC), Frankie Hejduk (Columbus Crew), Oguchi Onyewu (Standard de Liege), Michael Orozco (San Luis), Heath Pearce (Hansa Rostock).

MIDFIELDERS (7): Freddy Adu (AS Monaco), DaMarcus Beasley (Glasgow Rangers), Michael Bradley (Borussia Moenchengladbach), Maurice Edu (Glasgow Rangers), Sacha Kljestan (Chivas USA), Danny Szetela (Brescia Calcio), José Francisco Torres (Pachuca).

FORWARDS (5): Jozy Altidore (Villarreal C.F.), Brian Ching (Houston Dynamo), Charlie Davies (Hammarby IF), Clint Dempsey (Fulham FC), Landon Donovan (Los Angeles Galaxy).

Futbolr Corey Ashe Helps Houston to big draw.

The Houston Dynamo battled Group B leader Pumas UNAM to a 4-4 draw in Mexico City Tuesday night. Craig Waibel and Kei Kamara each scored two goals on the night for the Dynamo. Futbolr Corey Ashe assisted and drew a penalty for Kamara's two goals. Seven goals scored in the 1st half. The second half was equally frenetic and Waibel headed home a cross by Brian Mullan just five minutes into the second half to tie the game at 4. Houston's next Champions League game will be on Oct. 7 at Robertson Stadium against San Francisco. Check out the highlights.
