Les Bleus have secured their place at South Africa 2010, but they were given a real fright by Republic of Ireland here at the Stade de France. Captain Thierry Henry appeared to handle the ball twice before feeding Gallas, who scored from close range on 103 minutes to give France a 1-1 draw in the return leg at Stade de France. Raymond Domenech's side were unconvincing, but advance to next year's finals thanks to that decisive goal in extra time from William Gallas.
Yes this was too obvious and a shamed to see in 2009 this can still happen in the world's most famous game. I was not a fan of instant replay but a official on the goal line is a must.

Absolutely disgusted that this went unnoticed by the officials. UEFA clealry got what they wanted and Platini should be ashamed.
