"This US Paralympic Soccer team is just concluding its first training camp of 2011. Last Saturday, 19 players gathered in Chula Vista, CA at the US Olympic Training Camp to begin preparations for the 2011 World Championships. Paralympic Soccer falls under the auspices of the United States Soccer Federation and the US Olympic Committee. The Paralympic Soccer Team comprised of athletes with physical challenges due to a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy and Traumatic Brain Injury.
The team will get together almost monthly leading into this summer’s World Championship in Holland. This tournament will serve as the US’s last opportunity to qualify for the 2012 Paralympic Games in London.
