Meet Jermain Lens of PSV Eindhooven. This young man made one of the best goals of this week and possibly the year out of an improbable shot. After slightly avoiding the keeper on a breakaway well outside the box that steered him towards the corner flag, Lens decided to use the outside of his foot to try and curl it into the open net from 25 yards. It worked! Amazing goal!

70 Yard Sprint & Strike
The Ukranian Premier League might not always get the spotlight, but with a quarter-final finish by Shaktar Donetsk in the 2010-11 Champions League and stars like Taison scoring fantastic goals like the one above for Metalist Kharkiv we should put it on the radar.

Cool Coulibaly

This year the FIFA U-17 has been entertaining at the least, but the standout of the group stages is Souleymane Coulibaly. The Siena player is currently getting interest from the monarchs of the soccer world for this 16 year old's flawless ability in front of the net.
After 3 games in the group stage, this youngster has netted all of Ivory Coast's 8 goals. This includes a 4 goal performance followed up by a hat-trick against the selecao of Brazil that was defined by a textbook bicycle kick. Next up is the French on the 30th, but we will see if this sublime scoring run continues.

What DPs Do
In the MLS alot of the debate surrounding the Designated Player(DP) is if it is worth it to shell out the amount of money for a dynamic player that may or may not change your teams results. Now in Vancouver as an expansion team, the Whitecaps chose frenchman Eric Hassli. Since the season has begun, Hassli has provided the headlines with either gloom or glory. Within the 10 games he has played he has 6 Goals & 5 Red Cards, so Hassli is as predictable as a roulette wheel in Monaco.
This past Saturday, he chose to add to his glory account with a wonder strike that capitalized off horrible clearance from neighboring rivals Seattle Sounders. Being able to pounce on the mistake, chip the ball to himself while evading a defender, not to mention providing a volley before the chip hit the ground. Did we note that he was going away from the net. This DP is worth every red cent.

Another Amazing Dejan Stankovic Goal
Just 2 weeks ago we saw Dejan Stankovic put a goal in from around the half-line. So why should he stop with the spectacular. This one is pure vision and ability after taking a pass from vet Esteban Cambiasso to be the game-winner from 30-yards out in the Coppa Italia vs. AS Roma.

100 Goal Goalie
Brazil is a magical place where anything is possible in Futbol. Even the goalie can equal or surpass most strikers for proficiency in set pieces. Rogério Ceni of São Paulo converted a free-kick out side the box, by curling a shot over the wall and into the top corner for his 100th goal. Who else can say they have achieved this feat, just amazing!

Barcelona's Eric Abidal gets hit w/ Object Then Scores 1st Goal
AMAZING! Abidal gets hit with a foreign object thrown from the stands that knocks him out and leaves a severe lump on his forehead to then score the game winner to stick it to the opposing fans. NICE

Last Year In Goals
This is a great recap of your favorite goals of the past year and some untapped gems. I'd say turn the music on the player off so the next 9mins don't feel like you're stuck on Level 3 in Megaman.

Goal of The Week! Eduardo
Not only is the goal memorable for the amazing skill it takes to hit a side-volley with the outside of the foot, but because it is the latest goal in Eduardo's remarkable comeback from a broken leg.
