As the debate between High School soccer and the United States Soccer Development Academy continues to forge forward, there was a lot of national media attention directed their way this past week.

Sam Borden of the New York Times wrote about the choices that players involved in both affiliations are being ased to make.

Bicycle Kid

13 year-old defender uses his instincts and gets into the air to bicycle kick the ball into the back of the net. The U-14 Civitan Bengals(VA) player has recently moved from Honduras with his family and is quickly getting familiar with the game on American soil, maybe we should keep an eye out for Kenner Galeas.

Futbolr Dentist!

Great Futbolr story from US Youth Soccer association (www.usyouthsoccer.org) on Dr. Sloan Hildebrand who used his experience with playing soccer to earn the trust of village natives during his quest to South East Asia. Dr. Hildebrand took a year off to give free dental work to several villages through Southeast Asia. He talks about how vital soccer is to their culture and that if you can play soccer you’re automatically accepted.
